I've heard it said that blogs and comments go together like peanut butter and jelly, Sonny and Cher, coffee and cream... you get the idea. And while I can't disagree, Pure and Noble will no longer be a blog with comments. You may wonder if I care what my readers think, if I want to get to know them, if I want them to feel like they are a part of my blog. The answer is an emphatic YES! YES! YES!
Here's where things get sticky... I like what my readers have to say and I truly want you/them to like me and my blog. So much so that I was spending countless hours each day checking in to see what was said about my posts and commenting on others' blogs (many times, shamefully, in hopes that they would comment on mine - Yuck). Precious time was being taken away from my family and from my original purpose for this blog. My goal for Pure and Noble is to be inspired, inspire others and glorify God. I'm not doing that if I'm so wrapped up in the comments that I lose sight of the content and the One whose approval matters most.
For now, my focus is being realigned in purpose and content. I do so very deeply desire to connect with my readers. I love knowing who you/they are and hearing from you. If you'd like to email me, I'd love to connect with you!
***** I'm turning comments back on for a season. I need feedback from my readers, because I believe you all to have way more knowledge than me and I need your help! Hopefully God will keep me grounded and focused during this season.*****
