It all started with the cut above and a heavy ponytail that was driving me nuts! Then came this pic...
And boom, it was all over! A cut was in order. Add to that desire my MIL's sweet birthday gift of a trip to the salon to make it all happen and it was as if the cut was meant to be. Wouldn't you agree? So I did it. I went from the longest locks I've had since college to this...
My hope was to donate my newly sheared locks to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. After reading the guidelines, I don't know that I can. I don't know if the color on the tips was from a highlight job over a year and a half ago or from the sun. My hair has always lightened at the ends throughout summer and I think I had sufficiently cut my hair to where the highlights were removed, but I'm not 100% sure. I'll be calling them soon to ask for advice.
Scary thing is, now I'm feelin' a little of this...
Coline is stunning! The girl's got wicked awesome style and a haircut to die for. Hmmm... maybe I'll think this one through a bit longer and wait till it's 180 degrees outside before considering a cut. My current cut mixed with my current shampoo is NOT working. My hair is flat and lifeless. I went to Ulta today for some curl boosting products. We shall see what happens tomorrow. If all goes well, I'll share a little pic proof here on the bloggy. xo
Your new hair is gorg! But, you know I am so digging this short cut! DO IT DO IT DO IT!
ReplyDeleteI did the same thing. . .my hair was down to the middle of my back, then I went to my shoulders, then up a little more, then to a pixie a few days ago! My hair is THICK and naturally curly so it used to take me an hour to wash and dry and style. Now it takes me about 10 minutes!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, so you gave me a little incentive to post a pic on Instagram that I entitled - evolution of a pixie! I just started following you on Instagram... I'm @inkedowl. You can check out how many cuts I did to get all the way down to the pixie! The best part was that my husband cuts my hair so it didn't cost me a penny! I think you should go for it! Blessings friend!
ReplyDeleteMy guy cuts my hair too. I like the free part as well as avoiding the hassles of the salon. I like mine long though, it has taken me years to recover from a bad salon haircut so I am not in any rush to lose my hard earned length.
DeleteGirl, you know I am on Team Pixie!! You have nothing but ^5's over here! I know that is beautiful! Embrace it! It will grow back!
ReplyDeleteI just cut off mine! To the cut you got. I got the parted-bangs too. It's amazing. The shampoo i've been using is just the basic "yes to carrots" and has been working great. The waves have been in full force!
