Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Camping
Wednesday, August 25, 2010
Last night, my boys are reduced their carbon footprint by camping with their Dad and Papa Dude in the front yard! No nightlights. No music. No sound machines. No A/C. It's their first time ever to "camp." We'll see how it goes. I'm hopeful, but I have a feeling city boys won't make it through the night. What do you think? What are the odds they made it through? Do I have any readers willing to make a wager out there? ha ha ha -xo

I used to camp a lot... it's lovely. Next year we'll do it, with our baby girl, definately.
ReplyDeleteDid your boys make it?

They did it! I can't believe it! The whole night through. It wasn't the best night's sleep for the grown-ups, but the boys did great. xo
ReplyDeleteHow much fun would that have been!! When I was at uni, my three friends and I pitched a tent in my backyard and it was such a fun experience. Hope your boys enjoyed it. P.S Am hoping to email you over the weekend :)
ReplyDeleteIsa - yes...it's a must for kiddos. We gotta get them in the fresh air more you know?
ReplyDeleteAmanda - as soon as the nights get cooler in Texas, we'll have to do it in our backyard as a family. But I love the idea of a girl's night in a tent with lots of giggles and some wine! xo
