Around the House: White Spray Paint

Monday, March 8, 2010

As I've gotten older, Since I've had kids, I've noticed my appearance has changed a bit. There are more wrinkles, grey hairs and one age spot. Thank goodness there's makeup and hair dye (although I'm not there quite yet.) And yes, as easy as it is to transform one's appearance, the same can be done within your home. Truly, the ugliest piece of furniture and/or home accessory can be given new life with a fresh coat of white spray paint. The results are amazing and it doesn't take a lot of time. The bonus - it's incredibly inexpensive. I've spray painted pretty much anything and everything I buy secondhand: tables, chandeliers, lamps, clocks and magazine holders. In a society that demands instant gratification, spray paint delivers!

Here are just a few things I've done around my house:

frames
lamp and mirror

old table and chairs

  1. I still haven't tried spray painting things - I'm not sure why! Do you have a certain kind of spray paint you always use?

  2. Hi Nakiya, I use Rustoleum. They have a great product and are a great company with lots of color choices. Good luck.
