It's a habit I guess that drives me to purchase a new frame every time my husband gives me one of his amazing photography prints. I don't need a frame to house the artwork I receive. In fact, I'm rather inspired to do anything but frame future art. I love prints hung by pant hangers, bulldog hooks, clothespins and clipboard. It feels so fresh and unexpected.
Tip: I purchased three pant hangers at my local thrift store for $1.49. You may even have some in your closet already!
1. clip board and wire, 2. double row of clipboards, 3. clipboard collection, 4. entryway clipboards
1. garland, 2. daybed, 3. playroom, 4. bulldog clips
A box of bulldog clips will cost you about $5.00. A bag of clothespins from Target, under $5.00. That is a heck of a lot cheaper than your average 20 bucks or more. Right? Yes, some prints or photos will require a frame - I know - but, there are still recession proof options for that. Ikea has great frames at great prices and thrifts stores, garage sales and estate sales are also wonderful options. Just like with furniture, when you find a frame look at the size and the body. You can always spraypaint it! xo
I'm going to use a coat hanger to hang the boys' growth chart in the playroom, I too think it will look really good. Just loving your practical yet stylish ideas.
