Guest Post: Vintage Pillow Love from the Bay.

Tuesday, July 6, 2010

Hi everyone, I'm Victoria from sfgirlbybay, stepping in for a moment with a guest post here on Brooke's beautiful blog, Pure & Noble. It's an honor to be here, and share some of my favorite bits of vintage-inspired design with Brooke's readers. I am always drawn to pillows made with unique, vintage fabric, and Brooke has made some gorgeous cushions herself, in fact I loved her pillows so much when I saw them on flickr, I asked if I might commission her to make some for me! She graciously agreed, and just look at her beautiful pillows here in my dining room, on my Knoll Tulip chairs! I love them!

So today, I thought I'd share some other pillows that inspire me. I found these on Etsy, which is one of my go-to places for hunting down great vintage finds. Here's a peek at some of the pretty, one-of-a-kind pillow finds I found on Etsy Handmade.

Pretty red geraniums via Haven.

Chenille from Catnap Cottage; Tablecloths turned pillows from Catnap Cottage;
Crazy Quilt from Enhabiten; and Floral Toile from The Unique Bird.

Antique Linen Patchwork & French Ticking via Ludwiga's Linen

Chenille & Quiltop Pillows from Catnap Cottage.

Crocheted Edge Travel Pillow from Starlit Nest Gifts; 50's fabric from Nice Work;
Abstract Eames from Nice Work; and Floral Barkcloth from Bread and Roses.

Pink & White Chenille from Sassy Cat Creations.

Great pillows, loads of inspiration. If you've never been by sfgirlbybay, you've gotta check it out. It's undeniably, positively delightful. I have been a huge fan of hers for years, so I'm a little giddy that I've gotten to chat with her a bit about pillows and blogs. I'm even more giddy that she agreed to do a guest post for me. Thanks so very much Victoria!  xo

  1. Gorgeous! And I love that you showed three different chenille examples. I haven't seen anything in chenille in years...it kind of reminds me of some of my mom's pieces.
