Mommy Style: DIY keds

Friday, March 23, 2012

If you're anything like me, you're all about inexpensive, fun new ways to breathe new life into your wardrobe. Today I bring all you chalkboard lovers a brand new canvas...shoes. And just to show you that inspiration can come from anywhere...

this bathroom + these keds from Madewell = DIY

Materials:

sneaks (I scored my keds at an estate sale for $4.00)
chalk ink pen
water
q-tip

One. Determine your design.

Two. Apply design starting from heel to toe. (starting with a smaller area allows you to determine your spacing and get your groove going before you work your way up to the toe.)

Three. Repeat with your other shoe.

Are you wondering what the water and q-tip are for? If you mess up...simply remove with water! How easy is that? The bonus - if you change your mind or want to try a new design, just toss your sneaks into the washing machine!

Happy Weekend homies! Have fun playing. xo
