Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Sheets

Wednesday, February 16, 2011

Nothing fancy or over the top creative today. Here are a few pretty, practical and simple uses for flat sheets that take 'em a little outside the box.

Windows - practical and pretty
Tents - hello dreamy bits of loveliness! I'm so gonna rock this with the hubs when it's warmer.

Forts - Miss James of Bluebird Vintage and Miss Rachel of Smile and Wave know how to rock some kickin' forts.

Bedskirts - leave it to Martha to think of this clever no brainer.

I know... some are basic and some are stunning. The best part is that all of these ideas require virtually NO cutting and NO sewing - just a little imagination.

When's the last time you made a fort? xo

  1. ooh, I'm excited about the curtain idea! I will have to look into that once we're settled into a place long enough to put up curtains :) In the meantime, I will build a fort...I'm sure my dog will love it!

  3. I used to build forts and tents with my brother and cousins all the time (long long ago!!) How fun was that...*sigh* careless days! Thanks for the reminder Brooke, maybe it's time to let myself a bit loose and enjoy again!
