Father's Day - A Giveaway

Friday, May 30, 2014

Giveaways aren't something I usually do, but Father's Day is coming up and I figure some of my sweet readers might be too busy wranglin' kiddos, now that school is out, to shop for that perfect gift. No need to worry. I've got ya covered. Think foot coverage - think socks. Fun, well made, conversation starting socks. My talented husband (and world's #1 Dad) has been working with the insanely hilarious guys over at Foot Cardigan. Recently, the hubs and I teamed up to show their subscribers the many ways their socks could be worn.
Necktie. Mittens. Beer koozies. Yes, the socks are that cool and we are giving 6 lucky followers a chance to win 2 pair each! I know - awesomesauce!
Here are the RULES for our Father's Day Sock Giveaway:

1 - check out Foot Cardigan's site (subscribe if you like - wink wink)
2 - Tell me how you'd wear Foot Cardigan socks in the comment section below.
3 - Be sure to follow me on Instagram and BLAMO! You're entered to win.

Just three simple steps. Pretty easy for a sock-tastic Father's Day gift.

All the socks that are to be given away were used in the shoot only - none have actually been worn. That would be gross. Special shout out to our guys at Foot Cardigan for donating the socks. You guys are the bestest. Giveaway will be closed June 5th. Winners will be announced June 6th so that we can get addresses and socks shipped/delivered before Father's Day on June 15th.

Good luck! xo

Burundi, Africa

Thursday, April 11, 2013

I know nothing should surprise me anymore. But it does. The hubs was in Africa last month, teaching on conflict resolution and leadership. While he was there he snapped a few pics. I thought I'd share some of my favorites.
Not only is Burundi lush and green, but it's people have so little and yet are so full of joy. Amazing. I have so much and still struggle with contentment.

What surprises you these days? xo

Breathless

Thursday, September 1, 2011

Amazing images right? It gets better...they were taken by my amazingly talented husband. I love his eye for color and composition. It's always fascinated me. He took these images while on a shoot in Egypt last month and I am one smitten kitten. Our living and dining room walls are a soothing dark grey and I would love to have one of the last two images blown up BIG, printed on canvas, hanging above our dining table. Sigghhh.  Babe, if you're reading this...Christmas is just around the corner, right along with my birthday. wink. wink.

So you might be wondering, "Is she just showing us these images to brag on her husband?" Well, yes and no. Here's where it gets good for you guys. These prints will be available at Pure and Noble when we open up shop again in mid-September. I'm so excited. xo

His & Hers

Monday, July 18, 2011

One look is all it takes to see who the photographer is in this house. Last weekend we went to a wedding in Austin (Congrats Gabby and Corbin!) and both of us took "portraits".

HIS
HERS

Some how, some way, my sweet husband is able to create magic in hotel rooms. I love it. Happy Monday! xo

His & Hers series is a weekly little diddy that Alli, of Hooray, and I started for fun to give you guys a glimpse into our worlds - two images at a time. Two pics, two perspectives, no rules. Play along with us! xo

Happy Birthday Hottie!

Friday, May 20, 2011

Today is my sweet hubs' birthday. Unfortunately, not matter how old he gets, I'm still older. And PS - he get character while I get wrinkles. What up with that? Oh well, I love him anyways; all 36 years of him.

Since last week's challenge was a double doozy (2 weeks vs. 1) I'm just gonna post some images that make me think of my husband and focus on loving him well.

Baby, wherever you go - I'll go. I pray that I will always be your assistant! You are the cheese to my whiz and the "little happy trees" to my Bob Ross. I love you to the moon and back. xoxo

I Love Picnics

Thursday, June 24, 2010

I love a good picnic. One of my favorite treats is to take our boys to the park to feed the ducks and grab a pint of Harry's Frozen Custard on the way. I pack our own bowls and spoons and then throw them in a brown paper bag to be taken home and washed. Sounds like a no brainer right? Well, my problem is that I tend to forget about the bag and leave it in the car for way too long.  Big mistake. Enter Boxal! Not only do they have seriously awesome packaging and mailers, their product pretty much rocks the house.

What the heck is Boxal you ask?  It's a really cool new picnic basket/box that my husband recently had the pleasure of shooting. It's 100% biodegradable. All of it - the box, serving trays, "plastic"ware. All of it.

I know. Why didn't we think of that? Genius. Picnic anyone? xo
